Greg SpiridopoulosTrombonist Greg Spiridopoulos is a member of the Empire Brass Quintet, principal trombone of the Albany Symphony Orchestra, Rhode Island Philharmonic, Glimmerglass Festival Orchestra, and a member of the Portland Symphony and Boston Philharmonic orchestras. Mr. Spiridopoulos has performed with the Boston Lyric Opera, Handel and Haydn Society, Boston Ballet Orchestra, Boston Landmarks Orchestra, Cantata Singers of Boston, Emmanuel Music, the West Virginia Symphony, Key West Symphony, New Hampshire Music Festival, Burning River Brass, Boston Symphony Orchestra, Boston Pops and many others. Recent solo performances have included Christopher Rouse’s Trombone Concerto with the Albany Symphony Orchestra, Henri Tomasi’s Trombone Concerto with the Pioneer Valley Symphony Orchestra, and as a guest soloist at the International Trumpet Guild Conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Since 2010, Mr. Spiridopoulos has been Lecturer of Trombone at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. He has performed recitals and presented master classes at numerous schools including Boston University, University of New Hampshire, University of North Texas, Baylor University, Texas Tech University, Texas Christian University and Oklahoma City University. Mr. Spiridopoulos has also been a featured faculty soloist with the University of Massachusetts Wind Ensemble and Concert Bands.

A native of Vienna, Virginia, Mr. Spiridopoulos received his Master of Music degree from Boston University, where he studied with Ronald Barron. He earned his Bachelor of Music degree from Michigan State University as a student of Curtis Olson and was a proud member of the Spartan Marching Band.
